FS6
Individual fireproof shelter
Designed for
Protection against convective heat and thermal radiation
Possibility of incorporating an individual breathing air bottle
FS6 – Individual fireproof shelter
Product Features

Special multi-layer fabric
The FS6's multi-layer aluminized fabric provides exceptional insulation against heat and thermal radiation, delaying the transmission of flame energy into the shelter. In addition, its Kevlar seams give it high mechanical resistance, increasing the shelter's reliability.

Highly compact
Carry bags are available in various sizes to fit most backpacks on the market.

Suitable for all sizes
Thanks to its 1.7 m length and 55 cm height and the positioning technique developed by ISK, it is capable of accommodating large firefighters, limiting the contact areas between the shelter fabric and the occupant.

Light
Only 1.5 kg.

Individual Fireproof Shelter
What Is a Fireproof Individual Shelter?
A fireproof individual shelter is an essential lifesaving tool for firefighters, wildland crews, and emergency personnel operating in extreme fire environments. Built with high-temperature, multilayer fire-resistant materials, it provides immediate thermal protection when advancing flames, sudden wind shifts, or blocked escape routes leave responders with no safe way out.
Why a Fireproof Individual Shelter Is Essential in Extreme Fire Scenarios
A fireproof individual shelter creates an insulated space that significantly reduces exposure to extreme heat and radiant energy. It is critical because:
Fire can advance faster than a crew can retreat
Radiant heat can become lethal within seconds
Dense smoke can eliminate visibility and mobility
Escape routes can disappear instantly due to wind changes
In these situations, having a fireproof individual shelter can mean the difference between survival and fatal injury.
Key Features of the ISK Fireproof Individual Shelter
The fireproof individual shelter developed by ISK Fire Survival stands out for its durability, light weight, and rapid deployment. Its main features include:
High-performance multilayer fireproof materials capable of withstanding extreme heat
Insulated interior, maintaining lower temperatures than the external environment
Reinforced seams designed to block heat and burning particles
Ergonomic, compact, lightweight design, ideal for long operations
Certification and real fire testing, ensuring performance in actual wildfire conditions
How to Use a Fireproof Individual Shelter in an Emergency
Deployment is fast and intuitive to maximize survival time:
Select the safest available area, free of nearby fuels whenever possible
Remove the shelter from its case
Deploy and enter quickly
Seal the shelter completely to prevent hot air or smoke intrusion
Remain inside until the fire front passes or assistance arrives
The shelter is not intended for long-term exposure, but it provides vital thermal protection during the most dangerous minutes of a fire event.
When a Fireproof Individual Shelter Saves Lives
This device is crucial during:
Entrapment caused by sudden wind shifts
Rapid fire spread from secondary ignition points
Loss of visibility or mobility due to dense smoke
Blocked escape routes caused by falling vegetation or obstacles
In all these scenarios, the shelter provides critical survival time until conditions improve or support arrives.
Who Needs a Fireproof Individual Shelter?
A fireproof individual shelter is indispensable for:
Wildland firefighting brigades
Structural firefighting teams
Industrial fire response units
Rapid intervention crews
Any personnel exposed to extreme fire behavior
