FS5
Fireproof cabin curtain kit
The FS5 Fireproof cabin curtain kit consists of four or six fire-resistant curtains, rollable and connectable with Velcro flaps, made of fire-resistant materials to protect the interior of the cabin of fire trucks and heavy machinery from the convective and radiant heat of the flame.
Its performance has been validated both in the laboratory and under real-world working conditions, ensuring reliable protection in high-temperature environments.
Designed for
Protection against thermal radiation

Product Features

Special multi-layer fabric
The FS5's multi-layer aluminized fabric provides exceptional insulation against heat and thermal radiation, delaying the transmission of flame energy into the cabin. In addition, its Kevlar stitching gives it high mechanical resistance, increasing its reliability.

Quick installation
Thanks to the Velcro straps, it can be opened very quickly and can be done by a single person.

Seamless protection
Its unique design with Velcro flaps allows for a seamless connection beyond the glass surface, also across the entire height of the door and on the rear wall of the cabin, even if it is not glazed, since the steel sheet is a heat conductor.

Fireproof cabin curtain kit
What Is a Cabin Fireproof Curtain Kit?
A Cabin Fireproof Curtain Kit is a thermal protection system designed to create an internal heat-resistant barrier inside the cabin of emergency vehicles, heavy machinery or rapid intervention units operating in extreme fire conditions. These fireproof curtains act as an interior shield that reduces radiant heat exposure, limits temperature rise inside the cabin and protects occupants from burning particles during high-risk operations.
Why a Cabin Fireproof Curtain Kit Is Essential in Extreme Fire Environments
During wildfires, industrial fires or structural fire operations, the interior of a vehicle can quickly become hazardous due to:
Direct thermal radiation
Critical temperature increase inside the cabin
Intrusion of embers or hot debris
Thermal stress on interior components
Possible entrapment near advancing fire fronts
A Cabin Fireproof Curtain Kit provides an additional layer of thermal protection, allowing crews to endure extreme heat conditions and maintain operational capability during critical maneuvers.
Key Features of the ISK Cabin Fireproof Curtain Kit
Developed by ISK Fire Survival, this kit is engineered with advanced, certified fire-resistant materials designed for severe fire environments. Its main features include:
Multilayer fireproof fabric, capable of withstanding high radiant heat
Reflective inner surface, reducing thermal transfer inside the cabin
Rapid-installation system, compatible with a wide variety of vehicle types
High durability and flexibility, ensuring long performance under thermal stress
Secure sealing, preventing the entry of embers, heat or smoke
The kit is part of the advanced self-protection solutions engineered by ISK Fire Survival to enhance crew safety in extreme fire conditions.
How a Cabin Fireproof Curtain Kit Works
The system is installed inside the vehicle cabin, creating a protective barrier around critical areas. Its function is to:
Reflect a significant portion of radiant heat
Reduce internal temperature rise during fire exposure
Physically block embers and hot particles
Minimize thermal stress on occupants during extended operations
Increase survivability in temporary fire entrapment scenarios
This kit works in synergy with other ISK vehicle protection systems such as the Fireproof Skirt and Thermal Tire Protection, creating a complete defensive envelope for the vehicle.
Applications of a Cabin Fireproof Curtain Kit
The ISK Cabin Fireproof Curtain Kit is essential for:
Wildland firefighting vehicles
Industrial fire suppression trucks
Civil protection fleets
Heavy machinery operating in wildfire zones
Rapid intervention and rescue vehicles
Units working near high-radiation or flame-intense environments
Any vehicle regularly exposed to extreme heat conditions benefits significantly from this protection system.
ISK Fire Survival: Certified Thermal Safety for the Harshest Fire Environments
At ISK Fire Survival, we create high-performance solutions designed to protect lives and vehicles in the world’s most extreme fire scenarios.
The Cabin Fireproof Curtain Kit is a key component of our self-protection equipment, delivering durability, safety and operational reliability when fire conditions exceed all expectations.
