Fire Truck Protection: Advanced Thermal Safety by ISK

Fire truck protection is a decisive factor in ensuring firefighter survival during a forest fire. In situations of entrapment or direct exposure to flames, vehicles face extreme temperatures that can compromise their structural integrity and crew safety. For this reason, ISK Fire Survival has developed certified solutions that act as an effective thermal barrier against fire.

Fireproof Skirts: Lateral and Tire Protection

The FS4 and FS4.1 fireproof skirts from ISK are designed to protect the lower and lateral parts of the truck, including the tires and cabin area. Made with four-layer fire-resistant fabric edged with Kevlar, they provide effective protection against radiant and convective heat.

Each skirt complies with UNE EN ISO 11612 and EN 469/A1 standards, certified by organizations accredited by ENAC, ensuring resistance to flames, radiant heat, and extreme thermal exposure. Their installation system—using magnetic, Kevlar, or fire-resistant Velcro fasteners—allows for quick and secure attachment depending on the vehicle type.

Fireproof Curtains: Interior Cabin Insulation

The FS5 system from ISK Fire Survival protects the interior of the cabin from direct fire exposure. These fireproof curtains create a thermal insulation barrier that helps maintain a more stable internal temperature.
Manufactured with the same multi-layered fabric as the skirts, they strengthen the vehicle’s integral protection, working in coordination with other elements of the Integral Safety Kit, such as the FS1 self-protection nozzle and the FS2 collective shelter.

ISK Integral Self-Protection System. Fire truck protection

The combination of skirts, curtains, thermal blankets, and the FS1 nozzle forms a comprehensive defense against wildfires. This system acts as a shield of survival, protecting both the vehicle and the lives of firefighters.

When everything fails, ISK stands firm.
Fire truck protection is not just a safety measure — it’s the difference between risk and survival.
