Collective Fire Shelter

The safety of wildland firefighters depends on having equipment capable of withstanding extreme conditions. In a high-intensity fire, when evacuation is no longer possible, the FS2 Collective Fire Shelter by ISK Fire Survival becomes the last line of defense. Designed for critical entrapment situations, this shelter provides a secure barrier against convective and radiant heat, ensuring a real chance of survival.

Collective fire shelter: technology serving life

The ISK FS2 shelter is made of a multi-layer fire-resistant fabric, composed of four certified layers according to UNE EN ISO 11612 and EN 469/A1 standards.
The two outer layers protect against radiant heat, while the inner ones provide thermal insulation. This structure withstands temperatures above 1,200 °C, resisting direct fire radiation for several crucial minutes.

In addition, its pneumatic structural system allows deployment in less than 15 seconds, providing immediate protection for teams of 4 or 6 people. Its inflatable frame, equipped with quick-connect valves, creates an airtight dome that prevents the entry of toxic gases or smoke.

Breathable air and autonomy

One of the key features of the FS2 Collective Shelter is its breathable air supply and distribution system.
The shelter includes a compressed air cylinder and a two-stage regulator, capable of supplying between 12 and 15 minutes of continuous oxygen, depending on the model (FS2.4 or FS2.6). Each occupant has an individual mask with an air reservoir, ensuring a safe breathing environment even in low-oxygen conditions.

Certified safety and functional design

The FS2 shelter has been tested by an ENAC-accredited body (No. 0161) and validated under report 2017EP3190.
Its ergonomic design includes positioning handles, a fire-resistant viewing window with a gold-coated polycarbonate screen — capable of withstanding up to 1,290 °C — and an interior lighting system using chemical or LED lights.
With a weight of approximately 12 to 15 kg and a durable abrasion-resistant carrying bag, it can be easily handled by emergency personnel.

ISK: when everything fails, ISK stands

The FS2 Collective Fire Shelter is part of ISK Fire Survival’s Integral Safety Kit, a comprehensive self-protection system designed to increase the probability of survival in wildland fires.
Its reliability, rapid deployment, and extreme resistance make it an essential component of ISK’s survival zones, reinforcing the company’s mission: to protect life when there is no margin for error.
