The Integral Safety Kit (ISK) combines several systems designed to protect both firefighters and vehicles. This set acts as a barrier against heat, flames, and smoke. Each component has a specific function and adapts to different entrapment or direct fire exposure scenarios.
Components of the ISK Firefighter Survival Kit
The FS1 – Integral Safety and Self-Protection Nozzle creates a water curtain that shields personnel from radiant and convective heat. Its design allows rapid deployment of an effective thermal barrier within seconds.
The FS2 – Collective Fire Shelter provides protection for several firefighters. Its pneumatic structure inflates in just 15 seconds and withstands temperatures above 1,200 °C. It includes breathable air supply and interior lighting systems.
The FS4 and FS4.1 – Fireproof Skirts protect the lower part of the truck, the tires, and the sides of the cab. Their multi-layer Kevlar fabric creates a shield against radiant heat and direct flame contact.
The FS5 – Fireproof Curtains thermally insulate the vehicle’s cabin interior. Combined with the FS1 nozzle, they ensure a safer environment in case of entrapment.
Certified technology to save lives
All components of the kit are certified under UNE EN ISO 11612 and EN 469/A1, accredited by ENAC. These standards guarantee resistance to radiation, convection, and direct fire contact. ISK manufactures each element with high-performance materials tested in real emergency scenarios.
